Since 1870 there was steel manufactured in the Schoeller factory ind Ternitz. In the early 1960s the production of tubes started – the beginning fort he development as a competence center for seamless stainless steel pipes. Seamless success. 1995 a team of experienced managers acquired the formerly nationalized company in a management buy-out and built the foundation for a secure long-term future. An optimally dimensioned, competitive company was created, which operates flexibly in the international market. The company’s involvement in the listed TUBACEX group in 1999 represents another high point in the successfull story of SBER.
